We Envision an oregon

… in which Black and Indigenous people, and all communities of color, are cherished, and thriving. That houses all people, and provides universal access to culturally-relevant and adaptive care services and supports.

THE PATHWAY: INDIVIDUAL + COMMUNITY HEALTH + HEALING →

… in which we have (re)Indigenized our relationships to place and home. Where wealth is a collective resource, infrastructure is cooperative, collective, and stewarded by Black and Indigenous communities. We develop and grow communal assets outside of capitalism and colonial mindsets.

THE PATHWAY: TRANSFORMATIVE + RESTORATIVE JUSTICE →

… in which collectiveness and kinship is our greatest source of wealth. That has eliminated systems of oppression, in which universal and lifelong dignity is available to all.

THE PATHWAY: STABLE + RESILIENT COMMUNITIES →

… that works cooperatively on behalf of the collective. That values and makes possible cultures of healing and universal experiences of unconditional inclusion and belonging.

THE PATHWAY: DIGNITY + SOVEREIGNTY →

Individual & Community
Health & Healing

We are Cherished

Resources go beyond survival. Communities thrive knowing our inherent value is not production, but aliveness.

People have more than enough resources to care for themselves and each other.

We are Housed and Healthy

We receive culturally relevant care, in the places, spaces, and ways that are integrated into our lives.

Housing and care are universally accessible.

Transformative & Restorative justice

(Re)Indigenize Our Relationship to Place and Home

Housing is for all people. Capitalism no longer affects housing status. We shift from land ownership to collective stewardship of our shared natural resources and housing infrastructure. Wealth is a collective, not an individual, cultural norm.

Land and Wealth Reparations

Land and wealth are redistributed to Indigenous and Black peoples.

Housing for All

Every person in Oregon has unconditional and life-long access to housing.

Unconditional Stability and Safety

All people experience unconditional stability and safety regardless of employment status. We value all work — paid and unpaid — as essential to the health and wellbeing of all Oregonians.

Dignity & Sovereignty

Cooperation, Not Competition

Health, wealth, and wellbeing are created cooperatively and for collective, not individual gain.

Unconditional Inclusion & Belonging

No one is denied housing, healthcare, or social stability.

Healing Cultures

We move beyond repair to transform our collective cultural experience to support, promote, and provide cultures of healing and liberation.

Stable & Resilient Communities

Collective Abundance

Abundance and prosperity is a universal experience. Kinship IS our wealth. Every being is embraced as invaluable and precious.

Universal Human Dignity

We go beyond universal basic income to create conditions in which all people experience life-long dignity.

Scarcity and Systems of Oppression are Obsolete

We have eliminated the real and perceived need for direct services by creating conditions in which all people are collectively cared for.

Institutions that dehumanize through incarceration and punishment are socially and culturally obsolete.

Community Designs Communities

Housing and local infrastructure is designed and planned in community, with and for the people who live there.
